Saudi Arabia sets a fine on companies for failing to deliver postal shipments
Companies that do not ensure the timely delivery of postal shipments will be fined a minimum of 5000 riyals, according to the Transport General Authority (TGA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Most Viewed: Required iqama validity in order to issue final exit visa
An individual can immediately contact the parcel delivery business to file a complaint if they experience any problems with shipment delays or non-delivery, according to the authority.
It was stated in a statement issued by the Saudi Press Agency that the beneficiary has the right to file the report to the TGA if the company does not reply or address the complaint satisfactorily within 5 working days. The TGA would then take the required actions according to the rules and regulations.
In an effort to improve service quality and increase customer satisfaction in postal package activities, the authority stated that the Postal Bylaw and its executive regulations ensure the rights of consumers and licensed enterprises. When packages are late or never arrive at their destinations, customers can follow the steps provided in the executive regulations to lodge complaints and reports with the relevant parcel service providers. The importance of these organizations delivering packages to the agreed-upon locations during online purchases should not be neglected, especially when beneficiaries are not made to pick up their shipments from multiple places.
As stated in the bylaw, the authority has certified that violations of the laws would result in fines of at least SR5,000. The authority has announced the availability of multiple channels for communication in an effort to reduce response times and handle concerns. These include the beneficiary care account, the beneficiary services platform, officially approved channels, and the unified number 19929.
In addition, the authority confirmed its resolve to raise the standards for transport and logistics service quality, increase sector compliance through efficient regulatory systems, and better serve beneficiaries in accordance with all applicable regulations.
