The warning is part of their oversight role and efforts to develop the digital health system and ensure compliance with regulations.
The Ministry of Health stresses that these practices make up a crime and require regulatory penalties.
Anyone found guilty of providing a false or misleading medical report faces up to 100,000 riyals in fines and a year in prison, according to the ministry.
The authority pointed out that the "Sehhaty" platform is the most systematic way to get sick leave.
It improves the quality of health services by ensuring that medical reports are reliable and by making it easier for employees, their workplaces, and health facilities to communicate with each other. Most Viewed: Huge Saudization update! 269 jobs affected
Using a digital platform that allows for the collection and comparison of data, the ministry reviews sick leaves and their compatibility with the beneficiary's medical record on a periodic basis.
The goal is to achieve higher effectiveness and appropriate use of sick leaves, so people should be cautious of fake accounts that promote such irregular services.
The platform, called "Sehhaty," is important for ensuring the accuracy of reports and the integrity of procedures.
In this regard, the ministry highlighted to medical professionals the importance of upholding professional ethics and medical responsibility by committing to provide sick leave only to individuals who merit it, in accordance with the beneficiary's health status. See Also: Overtime in Saudi Labor Law
