He reassured them that their return would remain confidential and highlighted the state's priority for healing over punishment.

Al-Howairini, in a Sunday television interview, carried out the order of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, inviting openly those who had been deceived and used for evil purposes.

He reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia would welcome their return without problems so long as their remarks stayed ideological and they were not involved in any criminal proceedings within the nation.

According to Al-Howairini, anyone who wants to go back can call the specified number 990 and give their details to get help. They can also ask a trusted relative to act as their representative while dealing with government agencies. Recommend: Saudi Arabia announces 3 new e-services to Absher platform

The Saudi embassy in any country is ready to help ensure their safe return, he said.

Al-Howairini confirmed the Kingdom's dedication to rehabilitation rather than punishment during an appearance on MBC's Hikayat Waad (Promise Story) program, saying that the names of individuals who opt to return would not be revealed or made public by the state.

Additionally, he brought attention to the role of Saudi society in the fight against terrorism and extremism by stating that around 20% of the country's detainees were arrested either at the request of their families or as a result of joint operations with them.

The state's active commitment to protecting its residents from radical exploitation is becoming more and more recognized by families, he said.
