However, there is a service charge of SR69 (including VAT) for using this service online. Trending: Saudi Arabia discovers new gas and oil fields

The Absher platform provides easy access to this service; users can update their passport information by going to the "My Services" area, then to the "Passports" service, and lastly by accessing the Resident Identity Services (Resident ID Services).

The Absher website can read the passport number and expiration date automatically; thus, a clear photo of the passport is required for the platform. If the expat wants to view their updated passport details on Absher, they will need to sign a declaration stating that their old passport is safe.

Terms and conditions for updating passport information through Absher:

* Also, both the employer and employee must be alive and healthy, and neither can have security restrictions.

* The applicant must not have any traffic violations on his Iqama. Most Viewed: Iqama renewal is now possible even if the expat dependent is outside Saudi Arabia

* Update of your passport information can only be done if you are over 18 years old.

* You can update your passport information through the Absher portal once every five years.

* It is not possible to update passport information in Absher if your passport validity is more than 1 year.

If a citizen holds multiple passports, they must personally visit the Jawazat office to utilize the service.

If you have lost your passport, you will need to schedule an in-person appointment with the Jawazat office to get a replacement. According to the rules and regulations, whoever completes the service on a lost passport will be held accountable if it can be proven that it was made available on that document.

The person who completes the service will be held fully responsible for registering the new or renewed passport, and he will also be held accountable in case it is shown to be false.

If there are relatives on the old passport who have subsequently obtained new passports, you will not be able to update their information through the online service. To update the information in such a situation, a personal visit to the Jawazat office is required. See Also: Saudi Arabia suspends short-term visas for 14 countries ahead of Hajj 2025
