Any expat who does not leave the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia once their entry visa has expired is subject to deportation, a six-month jail sentence, or a fine of up to 50,000 riyals, according to the latest announcement of the Ministry of Interior. The Ministry of the Interior has highlighted the need to follow the rules and guidelines for the Hajj and Umrah that are now in effect.

Saudi Arabia arrests 20,668 residents within one week:

Last week's security activities resulted in the arrest of 20,668 unlawful residents. The Ministry of Interior reported on Saturday that the arrests occurred during joint inspections conducted by the security forces and various government agencies from April 10 to April 16.

Those arrested violated the Residency Law (12,372), the Border Security Law (4,750), and the Labor Law (3,566).

Of the 1,264 individuals detained while attempting to enter the kingdom over the border, 36% were citizens of Yemen, 61% of Ethiopia, and 3% of other nationalities. While trying to exit the kingdom unlawfully, around 93 individuals were arrested. Read: VAT refund for Saudi tourists

As part of the disciplinary measures against them, 32,417 individuals, comprising 30,038 men and 2,379 women, are currently going through different stages of judicial procedures.

We directed a staggering 24,811 individuals to their respective diplomatic missions to obtain the necessary travel documents.

Additionally, 2,936 individuals were directed to finalize their travel arrangements, and 12,235 individuals were deported. We took into custody another 27 individuals for their roles in providing transportation, housing, and jobs to the offenders, reported the Interior Ministry.

The Ministry of Interior has issued a warning that anyone who helps people illegally enter the Kingdom, whether by transporting them, providing shelter, or any other service, could face a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison, a fine of up to SR1 million, and the confiscation of any vehicles or houses used for this purpose.
