The ministry issued a statement stating that the last day for pilgrims to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah is Shawwal 15, which falls on April 13.  Although the usual validity is three months, due to Hajj, Umrah pilgrims will be required to return by the first of Dhul-Qadah (29th April).

The brief suspension of Umrah for foreign pilgrims prior to the Hajj is a part of an established policy that aims to maintain crowd management, safety, and smooth transportation during the busiest pilgrimage time.  This matter will also be clearly stated on the visa page.

The ministry stressed that there will be legal consequences for violating this date. It highlighted the importance of people and businesses offering Umrah services following the rules and guidelines for the timely departure of pilgrims. Join Saudi Expatriates channel on Telegram

Any failure to depart by the given date will be considered a violation, according to the ministry. Businesses and organizations risk fines of up to SR100,000 and legal action if they do not disclose when pilgrims overstay their stay.  Companies will be required to pay fines based on the number of pilgrims who violate the return deadline.
