Saudi Arabia bans accommodation without a Hajj permit in Makkah from 29th April
During the Hajj season, all Makkah hospitality companies are instructed by the Ministry of Tourism not to accommodate those without a Hajj permit or an official entry permit to work or stay in the city. This decree will be in force until the conclusion of the Hajj season and will commence on Dhul Qada 1, 1446, which is on April 29, 2025. Following a recent statement from the Ministry of the Interior, this announcement is in line with the plans and processes put in place to ensure the safety of Hajj pilgrims and that they can complete Hajj without interruption.
The Ministry of Interior has clarified that, starting Tuesday, April 29, visitors to Makkah will only be allowed to enter with a Hajj visa.
During the given period, it is strictly prohibited for hospitality facilities to accommodate individuals who fall under the Ministry of Interior's statement, according to the Ministry of Tourism. All Makkah hospitality companies are obligated to follow the norms and procedures governing the 2025 Hajj season, according to the government.
